Luscious® Marmalade™ Lantana | Proven Winners®

Bright orange flowers grace extremely tough plants.  They are heat and drought tolerant, wonderful summer plants. Unlike most lantana, Luscious Marmalade has been certified sterile by the University of Florida.  No seed means it won’t go out of flower in the heat of summer. Heat and drought tolerant, of course, but also fragrant, annual except in zones 9 – 11, 24 – 36 inches tall. Want to hang out with the birds, bees, and butterflies? Plant me, and you may end up turning that spare bedroom into an aviary slash hive slash butterfly house.

If you are looking for a tough plant it’s hard to beat lantana. Lantana is heat tolerant, use little to no supplemental water in the landscape, will tolerate less than ideal soils, and usually don’t need to be deadheaded. If you are looking for a plant that will thrive on neglect, lantana is the champ.
